Jon Stewart ≠ Rush Limbaugh. Thanks, The sane people of the world I find it hilarious that the GOP is rallying around an entertainer — a guy who makes millions on suckers foaming at the mouth in their cars. To even for a second, pretend that Rush Limbaugh is really “Conservative” is beyond laughable. Could you imagine the fit that the GOP would be in if Democrats took Jon Stewart as seriously as they take Rush? Awesome. And people thought the comedy shows would dry up when Bush left office. There’s plenty of fodder, always will be. I love the ending montage, one of my favorite movies. Here is the link to check out the clip at Comedy Central, I’m guessing the YouTube version will get pulled down shortly. What was once an organization with a noble and realistic cause has turned into an organization that isn’t against drunk driving, but an organization that is against drinking. The sad part is that they’re willing to step on the Constitution in order to enact their fundamentalist goals. You know an organization has gone rogue when its own founder doesn’t even agree with them anymore. If Republicans hadn’t run this country into the ground they’d still be in charge and there would be no stimulus for them to complain about. …just take a gander at our neighbors to the south. Of course, he’s just saying out loud what some Idaho politicos say behind closed doors. You can check out live video at KTVB.com or if you’re videoless you can get minute-by-minute tweets that KTVB is posting. Doesn’t Tom Luna have more important things to do today? …and Minnick isn’t going to make it to Boise for the Special Olympics. Here is Rep. Minnick’s statement:
Just in case you’re interested. Continue reading More details of VP Biden’s trip to the Treasure Valley There is a mess of Republicans on my teevee talking about transparency… wtf? You’ll have to pardon me if I think that these chaps can go bite off. At least let President Obama try to solve this crisis (that Republicans got us into) before you become useless obstructionists. I don’t think that the stimulus bill is the end all, nor is it the ultimate solution, but it is needed at this stage of the game. For these guys to play politics with the lives of Americans is profoundly disturbing. Oh, and I refuse to take Sen. Risch seriously — he’s an ankle biter that, judging from his first set of public comments has no idea what he is talking about. I’ll give Risch some credit once he says something that is both original and coherent. And an Idaho Republican complaining about transparency? I think I just giggled out loud. The reason that we have a Democratic President and Democratic majorities in both the House and the Senate is a direct result of the failed party that is otherwise known as Republicanism — deal with it. Once Democrats mess it up (which, at some point they are sure to) then you can start bitching, until then, give your President a chance to make good on what he promised to the both the Americans who voted for him and those who didn’t. At this rate, President Obama will have done more town hall meetings in the first two months of his presidency than G.W. did in 8 years. Is this some sort of really long dream or something? Oh, and the stimulus just passed the Senate (no linky yet). @ his town hall meeting in Elkhart, IN: “I’m always good for a beer…” It’s kinda surreal watching President Obama — we actually have a President who will meet with Americans, and as evidenced by some questioners, Americans who don’t necessarily agree with him. |
