Idaho Politics:

• Proving what we’ve all known all along; Bryan Fischer is obsessed with homosexuality.

• Wayne Hoffman: Legislature can prove it has moved beyond 19th century politics.
• The chairman of a Senate committee who rebuffed a proposal this year that would have cracked down on employers who hire illegal immigrants agreed to print a similar measure today and said he wants to hold a comprehensive debate on the subject next year.

Politics:

• Checked out Bill Maher’s Religulous this past weekend, pretty good flick, but the last 5 minutes really makes this documentary. Choice quote: “Why don’t you just kill yourself?” I also like this, which is one of my central problems with any organized religon; “Religion is dangerous because it allows human beings who don’t have all the answers to think that they do. Most people would think it’s wonderful when someone says, ‘I’m willing Lord, I’ll do whatever you want me to do.’ Except that since there are no gods actually talking to us, that void is filled in by people with their own corruptions and limitations and agendas.”

Booze:

• 2009 Stone Imperial Russian Stout Starts Hitting Store Shelves April 6th! Awesome, that means I can finally put to use my new Stone Imperial Russian Stout tulip!
• Lagunitas 2009 Correction Ale helps cure the recession blues this April.
• Another Stone collaboration.

Grub:

• The Modern Hotel and Bar in Downtown Boise now does grub; haven’t been but eager to check it out.
• This will show up in the springtime cuisine.
• It’s time to ditch soda. Pop is only useful when it has Crown in it.
• Simple Fried Rice with Japanese Seven Spice.
