Politics:
- Checked out Bill Maher’s Religulous this past weekend, pretty good flick, but the last 5 minutes really makes this documentary. Choice quote: “Why don’t you just kill yourself?” I also like this, which is one of my central problems with any organized religon; “Religion is dangerous because it allows human beings who don’t have all the answers to think that they do. Most people would think it’s wonderful when someone says, ‘I’m willing Lord, I’ll do whatever you want me to do.’ Except that since there are no gods actually talking to us, that void is filled in by people with their own corruptions and limitations and agendas.”
Booze:

Chris are you ready for tamales? The spouse made some . We can freeze some……e-mail me if you are able to pull my addy off this site.
Urbanderby.
My favorite quote from Maher was his summary: “Religion makes a virtue of not thinking.” The “Bible Land” theme park footage was pure documentary film gold. Getting kicked off of LDS property by the Mormon security guys was pretty awesome also.
I am, I'll shoot ya an email.
Wayne Hoffman supports 48 hour campaign contributions? He couldn't get Sali's filed on time or correctly. What ever happened? Did the FEC ever give those guys a fine?
I wonder why Wayne Hoffman doesn't allow people to comment on his blog.
Thanks for the pointer to that IdaBlue piece on Smyser. That was great, and I'd love to see it applied to *all* the rural legislators who talk about making government smaller.
