Well, IntenseDebate comments are gone for the time being, their servers were hosing my host’s servers and they had to be blocked.
I’m going to work to get all the comments that were made using the IntenseDebate system so that they aren’t lost in oblivion and I’ll also look for another commenting system that allows treading — which is a must.

This really fuckin’ pisses me off.
I hate. I hate to lose all the previous comments that were made under IntenseDebate but it’s not looking like I have much of an option — I haven’t been able to get a reply from them all week long. And it isn’t looking like they even offer the functionality to import comments back into WordPress.
I’m contemplating using another service, but I hate asking readers to go through the registering process all over again.
