“The future of Idaho is not contained in the North End.”
Oy…
To be clear, Sen. LeFavour stated she was referring to rural Idaho.

Did you hear the actual comentary? Hilarious! She only added she was referring to Rural Idaho after Wayne made his comment, lol.
I only caught pieces of it on the IPTV feed and saw the tweets of BW and Idaho Reports. Where you down there?
IPTV.com. easy to listen to when you are doing monotonous data entry.
Wow, way to marginalize an important issue. The stimulus was designed in part to lessen our dependence on foreign oil by focusing on efforts to transition away from fossil fuels. Its a matter of national security. Encouraging bike use is just one way to accomplish it. Landscaping is not. Why do Republicans hate America?
We need to flip this with the response that the future of Idaho is not Zeb Bell.
I find it interesting that Wayne instantly assumed she could ONLY be talking about the North End, you know, a Democrat who happens also to be a lesbian obviously can't care about anything but her two square miles of land in a liberal part of Idaho (one of the only ones). How rude.
I care about the rest of Idaho, a lot, my family for the most part lives around Twin Falls. But I don't necessarily think the big stinking dairy by Jerome is the future of Idaho, nor do I think a bigger road to get to the stinking dairy is the future either. Reesh.
Just to clarify, she does just so happen to represent a district that is basically Boise's North End. I don't think being a Democrat or a lesbian had much to do with that particular comment. However, I'll agree that I'm not really sure how bike paths are a less worthy cause than beautifying on and off ramps along I-84.
I'm with ya on that. I'm all for makin' the interstate look all purty, but now just isn't the time and it isn't a good use of the stimulus funds.
I have a feeling that the landscaping plan is going to come back to haunt Otter.
Of course the flip side that someone just reminded me of is the fact that the legislature will be the ones who approve the final version of the stimulus. So if she wants to argue for bike paths maybe she should focus on her fellow senators and representatives, not Mr. Hammon. Additionally, the last time I checked rural Idaho has plenty of their own representatives, so if their constituents want bike paths then they can be the ones to make the case for them.
Good points, Monty… Chris he needs a thumbs up.
Just to clarify further, I do realize where Ms. LeFavour lives (though I don't live in her district). I stand by what I said. It drives a vast majority of those people nuts that she's even there, much less that she has an opinion. I think that drives much of the reaction to her ideas or thoughts - no matter what she brings up.
