No tacos today… post coming later…
- Go figure, Bryan Fischer thinks stimulus money should go to pockets of fat cats, and not be used to put Idahoans back to work. Now that’s some values.
- Did Rep. Bert Stevenson aid in the harassment of a constituent? Maybe it’s about time the AG steps in? Ole’ Bert either needs to speak up or step down.
- Kevin Richert: How Otter’s plan could lead to tax increases.
- Steven Raichlen: So how did beef brisket-a chewy cut with strong ties to German transplants to Texas and Jewish immigrants, and with virtually no popularity in Ireland-come to be the iconic food of the American version of St. Paddy’s Day?
- Jon Stewart destroys Jim Cramer, again.
- Rachael Daigle and An Isolated Idaho. Really a great read. BW is doing some outstanding work right now.

Good Eats touched on the whole corned beef St. Patty's thing the other night too. I'm headed to the CO-OP in a bit to check out the Snake River Farms corned beef. Might just have to pick some up along with the appropriate Irish brews.
Yeah, we're going to wind up sticking to Guinness and whiskeys. I'm bringing over a bunch of different brews to make some different kinds of black & whatevers, we'll see how they turn out.
Can't wait to have some corned beef.
I just love it when Fischer confirms the really shitty ideas coming out of the statehouse for us. And ferchistsake, if you scroll down he makes the claim there is no such thing as nuclear waste. Did you hear that people of Chernobyl? We should start compiling a list like Zeb Bell's on his more audacious claims.
Wow, that Daily Show episode was great. Sisyphus summed it up pretty well on 43rd state blues. It's sad that a comedy news show is the one addressing the irresponsibility of the real news show. At least Cramer showed some humility and owned up to perpetuating the problem.
You like that one, check out this old one from when Jon Stewart went on CNN's Crossfire.
Yeah, that one is great too. Jon Stewart is the bomb. I love watching that guy.
Fischer claims the money should be returned to "taxpayers" when in reality, the proposal was to cut corporate taxes - another sop to the rich.
