Why aren’t there any serious GOP or Conservative blogs in Idaho?
I do ask this in all seriousness. I mean, the only rightward leaning blog that I’d give any semblance of credibility would be Dennis Mansfield’s. Are there some out there that I’ve missed? Any flying under the radar?
The righties have HBO (no offense DFO) and the comment section of the Statesman, so at least they have those, but I just find it interesting that there aren’t really any credible right leaning sites in Idaho.

Interesting point. Could it be that the right is not interested in a dialogue? Or is it that they are used to telling people how to run their lives and don't have the capacity to listen. A considerable number of progressives read blogs (like Fisher's) than perhaps right wingers?
I do think that dialogue is a part of it. It's why Liberal talk radio fails, I don't think Liberals need to have radio, or someone else reaffirm their beliefs. Whereas people that are in the far right need someone of authority to justify their bigotry and sometimes straight up ignorance.
You're asking righties on what is their standard for credible? Be careful for what you ask? I mean, really, they think Michelle Malkin is credible. They're into echo chambers not discourse which is why a.m. radio suits them much better.
True. I guess that's why it's pretty odd to find a "credible" rightward blog, e.g. one that doesn't make shit up.
They also have the comment sections of the Times-News (Twin Falls) and the Idaho State Journal (Pocatello). In fact in respect to the ISJ, they've got 90% of the opinion columns and full run of the "blogs" section…though it isn't a blog at all, just a reprint of everything that runs on the opinion page broken into four categories (ISU, Politics, Ian Fennell, and Community).
It is kinda off that they take over all the comment sections. I'm sure there is something to be said about that.
It's one of the reasons why I started blogging 3+ years ago.
I'm tired of following "entertaining" national neo-cons, who I find rude…and I'm tired of following state faith-based/neo-cons who I see as just plain angry or malicious. The day of the angry white conservative is looong over.
Bombs are easy to throw. Bridges are incredibly difficult to build.
Dennis Mansfield
Very true. Thanks for stopping by Dennis.
There is no conservative blogs because there really aren't any conservatives ouy there. There are the Democrats, who have their feel good ideas but no accountablity and then the Republicans who just have no accountability. Good times.
