I won't be posting this week, I'm going to be focusing on migrating over to Wordpress.org. I'm just not happy with TypePad ever since I was moved over to the new infrastructure. The new compose editor is slow and clunky and there are some other issues that just aren't excusable… after all, they called it an "upgrade". Wordpress will also allow me to do some different things that I've been wanting to do with the site.
I will ask this of you; can you make sure your bookmarks and links are pointed to www.unequivocalnotion.com and not www.unequivocalnotion.typepad.com/blog/ (you can go ahead and do this). I'll go through later this week and send an email out to sites that link to mine to remind them. Your old links to particular posts will be fine, part of the migration will be to manually rename the URLs (all 1,145 of them) to match the new naming convention — an effort that is sure to be tedius and time consuming — thank God Dos Equis was on sale.Feed wise if you're subscribed through my FeedBurner link (My Yahoo, Bloglines, Google Reader) you won't notice anything different. If you're subscribed to the TypePad feed you'll need to resubscribe once I have the site back up and running.
The good news is that I'm sitting on some good stories right now so I'll be sure to hit the ground running at the start of the new year.
I do apologize for the inconvenience — I'll buy ya a drink some time for your troubles.

“manually rename the URLs (all 1,145 of them)” YGBFSM, you are a glutton. Is there that much beer in the world?
Well, there is a script that is supposed to do it, but they’ll still have to be verified, especially the intra-blog linkies.
I was pretty happy w/ TypePad until they did this change over. Once they got rid of my blockquote I knew the relationship was over.
It edits the cruft in your website!? Awesome. I’ve gotta look for my own sixpack of that God Does-Excess Wasson Ale for when Serephin and I upgrade 43sb in the near future…
What’s that, sisyphus?
Oh. Are you sure?
Oh. Nevermind.
