Another year, another Mountain Brewer’s Beer Fest to put in the books. Good times… although this year was definitely the coldest (and damn that never ending wind!) that we’ve ever endured out there, it was still a really good time.
Got to meet up with some fellow Idaho bloggers and drink some mighty fine brews; what more could you want in a weekend?
More pics down below.
Carmela Vineyards in Glenns Ferry (not my fav, but it’s always fun to stop when going to Idaho Falls or Jackpot).
Stopped at Portneuf Valley Brewing in Pocatello for some lunch. Kick ass brews here. The Belligerent Ass Nut Brown Ale and Grog (hoppy goodness) were definitely the highlights.
Brownstone Brewhouse in Idaho Falls.
I was warned. It was close. We went. Had beer sampler. They sucked. We left. Will heed warnings in the future. I have no idea how someone could brew this beer, taste it, and serve it to people.
Some Idaho Falls for ya.
Also checked out Vino Rosso with some of the guys from 43rd State Blues. Great place, lot ‘o’ vino and a great beer selection. No pics though, forgot my el camera’o.
Oh, here are some pics of why we were there in the first place — Beer Fes!
Under one of the big tents amongst the thousands of imbibers.
Storms a’ brewin.
Outhouse alley. This is the worst part, it seems that the lines for the bathrooms get longer and longer with each passing year. This year there was probably a 10 minute wait after the 1st hour or so of the festival. Normally, it takes that long after 3 or 4 hours. You really have to plan ahead for the facilities, go get in line before your body says it is time to drain those fluids. And you want to be amused? Just be in the outhouse line during the last hour
We’ll definitely be back again next year.

I’m so sad you didn’t get a pic of the kick-ass chair d2 let me lounge in…
